Trick or Treat!

I had home duty on Halloween while the Sweetest Boy's children drug him around the neighborhood begging for candy.
When Trix and I were roommates we lined the driveway with tiki torches. I revived the tradition. To keep the dogs from barking, I set up my station in the driveway. Plus it was a gorgeous night, so why not enjoy it. I had my iPod playing scary sounds on the bucket,
a camera at hand, fat pug in a pumpkin outfit and a big bowl of candy.
This year we had LOADS of trick or treaters. Almost ran out of candy! We had zombies, a couple of scream ghouls, vampires, flappers, and of course MICHAEL JACKSON!!!
Little Michael Jackson came walking up the driveway with his Mom and Aunt. As kids get, he was a little excited running up the driveway and almost ran into one of the tiki torches. First thing out of my mouth was, "Hey now! The last thing we need on Halloween is Michael catching on fire again." Mom and Auntie thought that was hilarious. Hell, I was half way serious from the way the little rat was bouncing off the tiki torches. The funny comments on the way out of the driveway were, "I guess I'd be a crazy m'fr too if my ass caught on fire over a pepsi."
I had a great time my first Halloween with the youngens. I even found a way to keep the candy from being inhaled all at once. We had POPCORN!!!
I think next year we may stick to the adult type party, it's our turn. :)

U2 at Reliant!!

I've been known to bring strange things into a concert, i.e. miniature inflatable MONKEYS!!! So it looks like part of this sign was directed towards dorks like myself. I can see, no sneaking in booze in containers, or backpacks.
No taking DVD movies of the concert and yes, laser pointers are kind of annoying.
But please tell me who would be bringing in
CRYSTAL BALLS

Two Whole Years!!

Sweetest Boy and Lulu have been together two whole years as of October 6th!!!
(Although if we go in the way back machine, technically we've dated 2 and a HALF years. )
Because he's out of town working in Mississippi, and we won't be able to spend the day together, he asked me to come visit him there.
About halfway there he sent the directions to my phone, not to Hattiesburg, but to Biloxi! Living up to the Sweetest Boy title, he had booked a suite at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. We only had one night to kick back in the sweet ass suite, but it was wonderful to spend the time together. Very romantic and memorable!
This past year together? Can't say everything has been super smooth sailing, but all in all, I'd say it's a year that has brought us closer. Couple of things I'd still like to punch him for, I'm working through that. (Who knows, I sill might end up punching him.) All that bullshit aside, it's refreshing to have a largely drama free life. Ups and downs, but I don't think it would be real life without it. I'm in love and I'm HAPPY to have the Sweetest Boy on the Face of The Earth loves me back!!!

Who does this????

Don't even ask me why (or where) I was reading the tag to my underwear. But clearly it's the first time I have.

Warm Iron If Needed?

How on earth do you know if your thong NEEDS to be ironed. I think that takes a special kind of OCD for a person to break out the starch for this one.

Grape Stomp!!

After enduring the 3D movie GForce, I thought it was time to find something for the ENTIRE family to enjoy. Entire family meaning ME included. I'm all for letting the kids drag us around, hitting up Chuckie Cheeses and seeing talking guinea pigs. But there's a limit to the kid fun that I can handle without trying to mix in a little big kid fun as well.

I found the Crush For Fun going on at the Pleasant Hill Winery through the weekend of August 9th. Picking grapes, stomping them around? Sounds like great fun for kids. The fun part for me? The tasting of the finished product!! Total fun!!

After stomping the grapes, part of the fun was to step out on to your very own souvenir t-shirt, leaving two customized foot print grape stains. A bonus part of the fun was that the Sweetest Boy found his favorite wine! Little did we know when planning out the adventure that it would have been the wine he'd been searching for. Not to mention I found a tasty little bottle for myself as well.

Now that my friends is what I call:
FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!!
